On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Suphakorn Pongsabangpho, President of the University of Phayao, presided over the opening ceremony of the 5C+UE Student Competency Development Project, integrated with teaching and learning. On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Amaret Thepma, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, presented a report and objectives of the project at the Library and Learning Center, Institute of Innovative Learning, University of Phayao.
The 5C+UE Student Competency Development Project provides a platform for students to showcase their potential and express their creative identity through their thesis projects. It develops students' competencies in creativity, communication, collaboration, understanding of the global social context, and modern entrepreneurship, aligning with future skills.
The event included a fashion show reflecting the concepts, creative processes, and development of projects from drafts to final designs. An exhibition of works included costume design, jewelry design, and product design. This exhibition presented the first graduating class of the Art and Design program. (Revised Curriculum 2022) This curriculum clearly separates design disciplines, focusing on a curriculum structure that promotes learning achievement, competency-based development, and future skills, coupled with experiential learning. It reinforces the role of the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, University of Phayao, in producing quality graduates. The "After the Draft" design thesis exhibition will be on display from February 17-24, 2026. All are welcome to visit the exhibition on the 1st floor, Library and Learning Center, Institute of Innovative Learning, University of Phayao.
