The School of Architecture and Fine Arts, University of Phayao, organized a knowledge-sharing activity for strategy development toward the faculty vision under its participatory strategy development project at At NaTa Hotel, Chiang Mai. The event brought together the faculty executive team, lecturers, the head of office, unit heads, and staff members from across the School of Architecture and Fine Arts in full participation.
The purpose of the activity was to review and improve the faculty's operational direction in order to support sustainable progress toward its long-term vision. The program aimed to build shared understanding, acceptance, and effective strategic implementation alongside principles of good governance. Participants exchanged ideas on strategic development approaches and linked those discussions to plans for improving management support systems toward organizational excellence. Key development issues included graduate production, research and innovation, academic services, preservation of arts and culture, and the enhancement of management systems.
The atmosphere of the activity was constructive and open, allowing participants from all parts of the organization to reflect on perspectives and provide recommendations. This process serves as an important mechanism for moving the organization forward through participation and aligns with the institutional quality development approach under the EdPEx framework.
Outcomes from this review will be used to improve the faculty's strategic plan and performance indicators so that they are clearer, more responsive to stakeholder needs, and better able to support the faculty vision of becoming a high-quality educational institution that produces highly competent graduates and creates knowledge and innovation that sustainably benefits society.
"Strategic development becomes stronger when every part of the organization shares ownership of the vision, the process, and the direction forward."
