The Dean of SAFA joined a regional panel discussion on practical strategies for creating research impact and attracting funding, held at Mae Fah Luang University.

On Monday, 23 February 2026, at Pradu Daeng 1 Room (5th Floor), General Sampao Chusri (E4) Building, Mae Fah Luang University, Assistant Professor Dr. Amres Thepma, Dean of the School of Architecture and Fine Arts, University of Phayao, joined the panel discussion titled "How to Conduct Research that Creates Impact and Attracts Funding."

The session focused on "Tips and Tricks" for producing impactful research and connecting with funding opportunities. It created a practical knowledge-sharing space between researchers and private-sector stakeholders, featuring experts from leading universities and organizations. The discussion emphasized pathways to translate research into social and commercial outcomes.

Beyond the academic panel, the event also included networking and innovation activities such as The Innovation Showcase, The Turmeric Contest, a creative fashion show, and collaboration spaces for researchers, partners, and entrepreneurs. The program highlighted the role of regional research networks in driving innovation and sustainable area-based development, while supporting strategic sectors such as safe agriculture, health and wellness, coffee, and creative industries.
