The Dean of SAFA and faculty leaders participated in an MOU signing with Chiang Mai City Municipality to tackle housing challenges and improve living conditions for the low-income Wat Hua Fai community.
On 26 January 2026, the Dean of the School of Architecture and Fine Arts, Associate Professor Dr. Amret Thepma, together with Assistant Dean for Academic Service and Special Affairs, Assistant Professor Pannaphong Kulphatthanaseth, and Architecture program head Lecturer Wanitchaya Thanomphonkrang, attended the MOU signing ceremony for addressing low-income housing problems and improving quality of life for the Sattawan Wat Hua Fai Community (located behind the Mengrai District Office).
The MOU was formally handed over to the housing design working team for the area behind the Mengrai District Office. The signing ceremony took place at the 1st floor lobby of Building 5, Chiang Mai City Municipality.
This collaboration exemplifies SAFA's commitment to applied academic service bringing architecture and design expertise directly to communities that need it most. The project aims to develop affordable, dignified housing solutions rooted in human-centred design principles.
