By University of Phayao Communications Office February 16, 2026

SAFA held a Ganesh blessing ceremony and symbolic foundation stone laying for the new Lifelong Learning Practice Building, celebrating the faculty's 15th anniversary with university leadership, students, and alumni.

On Friday, 13 February 2026, the School of Architecture and Fine Arts (SAFA), University of Phayao, hosted a grand ceremony to mark its 15th anniversary under the theme "SAFA WE ARE ONE."

Associate Professor Dr. Suphakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao, delegated Associate Professor Dr. Direk Teeraphuthorn, Vice President for Corporate Communications, to preside over the ceremony. The event included a sacred Ganesh blessing ceremony (Panchatri Mongkol edition) and a merit-making ceremony in honour of the faculty's 15th anniversary.

The highlight of the day was the symbolic foundation stone laying for the renovation project of the Lifelong Learning Practice Building. The facility has been designed around the concept of an open Creative Learning Space — a flexible, adaptive environment that supports diverse activities for current students, alumni, and professional networks. The building reflects principles of sustainable development, environmental responsibility, and the distinct identity of SAFA.

Concluding the event, academic excellence medals were presented to outstanding students of the School of Architecture and Fine Arts, recognising and celebrating their dedication and achievement.
